Salesperson and Broker License Renewal

For Nebraska salespersons and brokers, active real estate licenses must be renewed every two years. License renewals are due by December 1 of the renewal year, and licenses expire on December 31 if not renewed.

To renew an active license, Nebraska licensees must complete 18 hours of education during each two-year renewal period. At least 12 of those hours must be Commission-approved continuing education courses, including a minimum of 6 hours in designated subject matter (“R” courses) approved by the Nebraska Real Estate Commission. The remaining 6 hours may be completed through either additional continuing education courses or Commission-approved training.

Additional education requirements may apply for licensees involved in property management or real estate teams.

Final Exams: The minimum passing score for final exams is 70% and there is no limit to the number of exam attempts.

Certificates: You will receive an electronic certificate of course completion immediately upon successful completion of the course.
